How Talkscope works

From a description of your product to a weekly list of creators you actually contact.

Talkscope finds the creators, newsletter writers, podcasters and YouTubers who are already talking about the problem your product solves. It scores how well each one fits, shows you the sentence it scored them on, finds a way to reach them and drafts a pitch. The outcome is one thing: a short list each week, at most 10 creators per project, that you actually contact.

The loop, in five steps

  1. You describe your product. Talkscope reads your website and drafts an About sheet: what it does, who it is for, the problems it solves. You keep what is true. Every search reads from this sheet.

  2. Searches find creators. Ask for a one-off search from Home, or set up a daily search that runs every morning. Searches cover blogs and the web, newsletters, podcasts and YouTube.

  3. Every page is scored. Each creator gets a Content fit score from 0 to 100 and an Audience grade, with the creator's own words quoted as evidence.

  4. You triage the shortlist. Each week Home shows up to 10 of the best fits you have not answered yet. Accept, Skip, Watch or Not a fit, one key each.

  5. You pitch. Talkscope looks for a contact and drafts a pitch. You read it, approve it, and send it yourself.

Talkscope Home: the week's shortlist of creator cards, each led by a quote from the creator.
Home is where the week's work lands: the shortlist, anything that needs you, and the follow-ups that are due.

The five things Talkscope keeps

Everything in the app is one of five things, or a view of them:

  • Project: one product you are finding creators for. Each project has its own About sheet, creators, searches, budget and timezone.

  • Search: a question Talkscope goes and answers. It is one-off or runs daily. Each time it runs, that is a run.

  • Creator: a person or publication worth knowing about, with their scores and evidence.

  • Content item: one page, post, episode or video Talkscope read and judged.

  • Shortlist: this week's list of creators to answer.

What Talkscope will not do

A few things are left out on purpose, so you do not go looking for them:

  • It drafts, you send. Talkscope never sends email or messages to creators. You copy the pitch, open it in Gmail or paste it into their contact form.

  • No X, TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn. Searches cover the web, newsletters, podcasts and YouTube.

  • Nothing about anyone but the creator. No commenters, followers or readers are collected.
